Sue Riffel leads AppCatalyst and Self Care Decisions in creating and positioning their tools and mobile apps for greatest use and benefit by healthcare organizations.

Working in healthcare for thirty years, Riffel managed clinical departments and medical call centers. She headed operations for Schmitt-Thompson Clinical Content: first managing their triage protocol business and then their consumer-facing symptom checker. In 2016, Riffel acquired Self Care Decisions & started sister company, AppCatalyst. They distribute the top-ranked symptom checker and develop custom apps for healthcare organizations – especially Children’s Hospitals.

Riffel is certified in User eXperience and Interaction Design through Nielsen Norman Group.
