A reluctance to get a COVID-19 vaccine appears to be the next public health battle for healthcare organizations trying to get control over the pandemic, according to the latest consumer survey data from Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock. The national survey was conducted in August 2020.
The new data shows that the public remains fearful of COVID-19 and worried about safety in medical settings. At the same time, healthcare providers have a massive trust advantage with the public relative to other institutions, presenting a real opportunity to jump in front of issues ranging from vaccination to funding to telehealth, thereby educating the public and helping mitigate the pandemic at the same time.
