As the Director of Business Development and Northwest HealthCare at Christian Hospital, a member of BJC Healthcare, Carol Fellin Hemker is responsible for physician recruitment and retention strategies, as well as hospital service line development and tactics. In addition to her business development role, Carol is also responsible for outpatient services at Northwest HealthCare (a division of Christian Hospital, a separate free-standing outpatient facility and emergency room.

Ms. Fellin Hemker has over 32 years of healthcare experience with an emphasis in physician services and physician alignment strategies, as well as, practice management, managed care, operations, sales and marketing experience.
She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Her professional affiliations include; American College of Healthcare Executives, Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, the Missouri Hospital Association, and Illinois Hospitals and Health Systems Association.

Outside of work, Ms. Fellin Hemker enjoys ‘empty nesting’ and spending time with her husband while granting equal time to running, biking, hiking, walking and traveling (but not necessarily in that order).
