Colleen M. Stone is a communication and digital strategist in the Michigan Medicine Department of Surgery, where she tells compelling stories about clinical, academic and research. Those stories can take the form of blog posts, Instagram stories, podcasts and even Twitter threads–however the content will play best and wherever the relevant audience is. Fostering diversity, equity and inclusion within the department informs what stories surface and how they’re presented.

Colleen has a deep background in digital journalism, social media engagement and content development. She received her journalism degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and spent 18 years in local journalism before joining the Michigan Medicine team.
