Kerting Baldwin, Ed.D., APR, is the Administrative Director of Corporate Communications at Memorial Healthcare System, one of the largest public healthcare systems in the nation. Dr. Baldwin started her career as a journalist and worked for 10 years for major South Florida metropolitan newspapers. She also spent two years as a national video editor for Telemundo before shifting her career to healthcare communications, working as a medical writer for the University of Miami School of Medicine and later moving on to Memorial Healthcare System. She is credited for creating and developing the Media Relations Department at Memorial, which later evolved to the current Corporate Communications structure, where she leads a full suite of communication disciplines, including PR/Media, social media, strategic and crisis communications, reputation management and content development. In her spare time, Dr. Baldwin enjoys creative writing, teaching, gardening, charity work and spending time with family.
