Silas Owings is a web developer on Ochsner Health System’s Digital Marketing Team, where he has worked since February of 2019. He assisted with the development and launch of Ochsner’s chatbot and is currently the project lead on Ochsner’s Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice skills projects. Silas holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Millsaps College and is a self-taught coder. He enjoys dabbling with machine learning and utilizing open source technology in his projects wherever possible.
