Paula Murphy, Senior Physician Liaison for St. Louis Children’s Hospital, began as a NICU nurse, completing an MBA soon after. After a short stint in the “business world” she returned to healthcare at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in the NICU, then as heart transplant coordinator. She found the perfect job to combine her clinical knowledge, people skills and business brain as a physician liaison in 2003. Paula served as department manager for 3 years and then returned to her best self as senior physician liaison in 2011. She is a past board member and current committee co-chair with AAPL.
